Seeking independent evaluation

Raising Futures Kenya is seeking an independent evaluation of our Seed of Hope programme.

Running since 2004, our flagship, award winning Seed of Hope vocational training programme equips young people from marginalised communities with the skills, knowledge and confidence to become self-reliant and build a safe and financially independent future.

In 2021, Raising Futures Kenya implemented significant changes to the Seed of Hope programme following the disruption of the Covid-19 pandemic and the nine-month closure of schools in 2020, and in response to subsequent impacts on youth unemployment, the findings of our Community Needs Assessment and increased demand for our courses.

Raising Futures Kenya now seeks an externally-led evaluation to review the current Seed of Hope model to assess effectiveness against our Theory of Change and inform any necessary changes to enhance programme performance – to ensure students receive well-targeted technical, vocational, and educational training (TVET) that enables them to enter the labour market, create businesses, or pursue further education.

The evaluation will take place from July with the final report due by end of August

To submit a proposal, please carefully read the Terms of Reference and requirements:

Applications should include a Technical proposal, Financial proposal and Evaluation Team CVs, sent to kenyaoffice@raisingfutureskenya.org.uk by close of business 28th June 2024. Interviews are anticipated to take place in July.
