About seed of hope
Seed of Hope technical training and business skills centres are run by registered Kenyan CBO Seed of Hope Centre andregistered Kenyan NGO Raising Futures Kenya (founded in 2004, formally known as Vision Africa: Give a Child a Future). We offer free or low-cost technical vocational training and business skills courses to enable young people (aged 14-25) to secure employment or set up their own small business and become financially independent.
We have a range of technical training courses available across our different centres in Nairobi, Kitui and Murang’a such as; Fashion Design, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Carpentry and Joinery, Hair and Beauty Therapy and Home Care Management. Every centre also offers a short course in Entrepreneurship, IT and Financial Literacy – everything you need to know to launch a small business.
We offer holistic support to ensure every student can fulfil their potential, this includes; counselling, wellbeing sessions, cooked lunches, menstrual hygiene packs, empowerment sessions and addressing gender inequality.
Seed of Hope is inclusive and does not discriminate against anyone. We treat everyone with dignity and believe every young person deserves an opportunity to build a secure, bright future.
